Rick Openshaw is Senior Vice President for MasterCard Advisors and global knowledge center lead for Credit Risk & Fraud Management. In this role, he focuses on risk and fraud management areas of both consumer and small business segments. Having joined MasterCard in September of 2003, Rick brings more than 25 years of financial services experience and over 20 years of consumer payments expertise to the group. He has held various senior operation, financial, risk and fraud management positions during his career. Rick has also been responsible for the development of Advisors' risk management consulting business. To date, the risk and fraud management team has delivered consulting projects in 21 countries across all regions of MasterCard Worldwide.

Prior to joining MasterCard Advisors, Rick headed up the Business and Strategy Consulting team for North America, Latin America and APMEA regions at Fair Isaac Corporation where he helped domestic and international clients develop sound revenue strategies and delivered revenue growth through account acquisition, account management and operations solution delivery.

Prior to that, Rick worked at First Annapolis Consulting in the development of a monoline bank, Partners First. There he was responsible for strategy development and management of systems support policies associated with credit line management, authorizations, card reissuance and collections. Before First Annapolis, he spent 12 years at CITI (formerly Citicorp and Citigroup) in a variety of positions. Rick's roles in consumer cards group ranged from credit operations, fraud policy management, credit policy management, portfolio risk management and project management for credit.
