As President, MasterCard Advisors, Kevin Stanton is responsible for driving competitive and differentiated professional services business globally at MasterCard. He has global oversight of the regional Advisors teams, as well as the three practice areas, including: Information Services, Consulting and Managed Services.
Prior to joining MasterCard Advisors in January 2010, Kevin served as President of the Canada Region for six years. During this time, Kevin transformed the Canadian organization by initiating its evolution from a credit company to a payments company. He successfully enhanced customer relationships, deepened engagement with acquirers, expanded relationships with merchants, successfully anticipated and prepared for significant change in the marketplace, including the imminent shift to chip-based payment cards, and drove growth. Under his leadership, MasterCard became, and continues to be, the fastest growing payments brand in Canada.
Prior to his President's role in Canada, Kevin was Senior Vice President, Strategy and Market Development for the region. In this role, he oversaw efforts to provide advanced, secure, and reliable payment solutions and enhance its position in the Canadian payments industry at MasterCard. Kevin focused on developing and expanding new and existing markets in Canada for the portfolio of corporate and consumer products at MasterCard.
Prior to joining the Canada team, Kevin spent seven years as Vice President, Senior Counsel, and North America Region Counsel at MasterCard. In this capacity, he provided legal and business counsel to the MasterCard Canadian, U.S., and global business units on all aspects of the company's business, including credit card, debit card, e-commerce, member relations, marketing, and trademark programs.
Prior to joining MasterCard, Kevin practiced law as an associate in the banking divisions of a number of leading Boston law firms.
Kevin holds a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a devoted supporter of Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, and sits on the boards of The Royal Conservatory of Music and Royal St. George's College.
