Ben Colvin is the Global Practice Leader for the Retail Banking/Debit Knowledge Center with 25 years experience in consumer payments and retail banking including marketing, product management and new product development. He joined MasterCard Advisors to work with MasterCard's client banks to leverage their payments platform to drive the profitable growth of their retail banking value proposition.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Ben spent 15 years at JP Morgan Chase in various marketing and product management disciplines for the retail bank's deposit product and payments businesses. At Chase, Ben and his team launched the signature debit card for both consumers and small businesses, introduced the first co-branded airlines debit card in the United States through its partnership with Continental Airlines, and a debit rewards program, arguably starting the move to rewards as table stakes in the retail banking, deposits and debit space. While at Chase, he and his team introduced PayPass through an employee market test prior to MasterCard's global roll out.

In addition, Ben was responsible for the business management of the bank's consumer checking and savings products maximizing its growth at a time of unprecedented competitive and economic challenges. Subsequent to Chase, he was the chief marketing officer for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Employee Benefits business and headed the Retirement and Cash Management products at National Financial, a Fidelity Investments Company.
